Edition 2 - From SoCal to Tel Aviv

Just a Bit of SoCal for the Summer

This week came with fun surprises from back home. Some of my very close friends from high school were on Birthright and were able to make it down to my internship office for my lunch break on Monday. Since I have not been back in SoCal since early January, it was very nice to be able to see them again, catch up, and eat some fantastic noodles from a restaurant across the street from Finn. Having the opportunity to meet up with friends from back home was lovely despite it having to be a bit rushed. As a bonus, I also saw another friend who happened to be in Jerusalem for a few days after work on Monday. We met up for a little bit, walked around the Shuk, and had some delicious pizza. All in all, Monday was quite a throwback, but it was a great way to start the week!

This Week at Finn

Work was busy this week as I received new assignments from many different people in the office. I finished creating a briefing packet for one of our clients, Altair, and started researching another client, Adin Steinsaltz to work on, fix, and create a more relevant and realistic Wikipedia page for him. Separately, one of our other clients just published his book and he decided to send the whole office a copy! Still, in week 2 I am hearing different aliyah stories from my coworkers. It has been fascinating to listen to their reasons and experiences since moving to Israel.

Tel Aviv for the Weekend

This weekend, a few friends and I decided to book an Air B&B and spend the weekend in Tel Aviv. Somehow, we were able to fit 9 people into this apartment, which naturally led to a lot of bonding! We went out to explore the city at night, relaxed on the beach, and ate some great food. All in all, it was an exhausting but fun weekend!
